Fantastic weekend away! The management gave us an upgrade for our special weekend. The hotel has a nice atmosphere.

This apartment had great space and really useful cooking facilities. A dishwasher and washing machine in such a small apartment were useful for a longer stay, although we didn't use the later for our 3 night break. It's really convenient for the City centre and even closer to the Millennium Stadium, although I bet prices for major events there are much higher. Cardiff is a great city and certainly cheaper than Lincoln where we live. Strongly recommend a visit.

VERY tired room. Peeling wallpaper, damaged furniture, loose floor tiles in the bathroom, broken shower head, sagging curtains and lots of channels not working on the TV. Upon checking in I was told we hadn't paid - even though we had. There is only one lift which was so far away from our room it was pointless. The place is like a maze and we got lost wandering the hallways twice! The positives are the hotel is clean and the bed was comfortable. There were bottles and glasses outside our room when we checked in, probably from the previous guests... they were still there when we checked out the next day! We paid a fair price for the room so wasn't expecting the ritz but definitely lacking maintenance in the rooms. We were also concerned about the security. Fire doors were left open for people to wander in an out with access to the whole hotel and floors where guests were staying. We walked into the hotel quite late, unchallenged and without anyone paying any attention to who was coming and going. I would be concerned for solo travellers as it certainly didn't feel safe. If you need a cheap overnight stay it's okay but lower your expectations as the photos are definitely not recent!
