This is a review of the villa - NOT the beautiful beach or lovely resort community. There are expectations when booking a VRBO that is at the high end of the daily rate for an area. This villa did not impress. Basic items were missing - no dish rack, ovenware, ice cube trays or basic supplies. The kitchen utensils were the plastic dollar store variety. The flatware was a hodgepodge of castoffs. There were only a couple knives that were in poor shape and did not look clean. There wasn't even a full set of dishes in a villa that SHOULD be equipped for 4. It wasn't the few live cockroaches as much as the long dead one under the sink that was covered in bugs. There was no hot water in the kitchen sink. We had to boil water to do dishes. I spoke with Ivan about the lack of supplies and had to ask for a garbage bag and some salt. There was no first aid kit, foil, plastic wrap, spices of any kind - basic stuff that is always in a rental. The grill is not the one in the photo. It was packed full of ash & had no tools. The king bed is so close to the wall that only one person can exit. The other person has to either climb over their partner or crawl to the end of the bed. The nightstand is falling apart. The outdoor patio area is not as it seemed in the photo. The beach chairs are sagging. There is so much unrealized potential here and it could be fabulous with some attention. The complex is a treasure, but keep looking to see what else is available.
