Treehouse at Wise Pines- SoBo
This one-room treehouse is tucked lightly into the woods for a tranquil setting, not far from another treehouse of its kind. The treehouse sits on 40 acres of land, complete with walking/hiking trails to enjoy. On the property is a pond, many fruit trees, chickens, and ducks. *electric fencing is LIVE!* The treehouse is spaced out from, but shares land with a renovated barn (used as another lodging accommodation), and a nearby common building that is a shared space for all guests to relax, eat, and attend studio events.
The owners live in a separate house on the property with dogs that roam freely. (They are friendly but may bark upon your arrival and come running quickly- they are just wanting to say hi even though it may seem otherwise!)
The treehouse includes a lush queen-sized bed, a table with bar stools, a dresser, mini fridge, water dispenser with glassware, and 4 large windows with plush velvet curtains. Heat is available, so as to be enjoyed all year long. The bathroom and shower are located in the common building down a slightly steep gravel walking path (about 160 ft away), which is shared with the other treehouse lodging accommodation. There is no bathroom or running water in the treehouse itself. In the common building ("The Lodge"), there is also a kitchenette for you to use. We have a griddle, outdoor grill, toaster oven, pizza pizzaz, blender, coffee maker and electric kettle for you to use. The oven and stove are not available for guest use as it is a commercial kitchen.
This tree house is dog friendly. We ask that all dogs be leashed when not within a building. There is a $25 pet fee per dog. Cats and other animals are PROHIBITED. Also note that there is a *LIVE* electric fence that surrounds our farm animals. Laundry units are available in the lodge. Please prepare to bring your own detergent, if you should need to use them.
Yoga ( $15/person) are available upon request with enough notice. We have a seasonal farm stand (cash or venmo).
The property is in the woods rustic woods of Vermont, amongst all of its seasons. Please note that we do our best to maintain the property as weather arises, but the walkways, some of which are a bit steep, may be snowy, icy or otherwise. Please come prepared with a vehicle and shoes that are suited for the season of your arrival (mud, snow and ice) for both our property and the town road we live on. Checking in during daylight hours is advised.

Beautiful property and wonderful host. Very welcoming and cozy, and within a quick drive of lots of great activities. I would definitely stay here again!
A cozy cabin retreat right outside of Woodstock. This was within distance to all restaurants and attractions with accessible trails right at your doorstep!

This is an adorable spot! Super quiet, the treehouse is very unique, and moments away from downtown Woodstock. We’ll be back!
We arrived on a clear night with amazing star gazing. Warm, clean and comfortable treehouse experience! The breakfast was exceptional, thank you Alex!!
My wife and I were Looking to get away for the evening and not break the bank on a place to stay. A lot of value here, clean facility, friendly staff. Also, the breakfast was great! My wife and I plan to return! Only short distance from downtown woodstock
Our stay was great! Super cute treehouse on private property with a great common area and amenities. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to get away in the Woodstock area- super close and convenient! Chelsey was a great host - super responsive and made check in very straightforward and easy.
Thanks for a great stay :)
We really enjoyed our stay. Loved the treehouse and being so close to nature. We were able to bring the pup which made things much easier for us. Plenty of space for her and the commons area was really nice too! I can’t wait to go back!
We greatly appreciated this exquisitely created hideaway--perhaps intended for AT hikers but perfectly suitable to any outdoorsy types like us. We found the treehouse extremely comfortable and cozy. We slept very well. The shower/kitchen/living room facilities were top-notch and we were so impressed with how clean and organized and beautiful every aspect of our stay was. The owners were friendly and helpful and we look forward to returning.
We (2) stayed in the treehouse which was perfect especially because we were just looking for the one night and most places only allow you to book 2 minimum. There were easy hiking trails directly outside of our door, along with a cute lodge/yoga studio! It was also an easy drive into Woodstock, roughly 10 minutes which was great for dinner :)
The place is everything it describes, however I missed the part where the bathrooms are in a separate building and they are shared. Thankfully for us there was nobody else staying there. Everything was very clean. Other than that I was satisfied.
My boyfriend and I just moved to Boston and wanted to have a leaf peeping getaway. The land was GORGEOUS and the property was better than expected! The treehouse was such a cozy stay, we truly did not want to leave. The area was incredibly quiet and peaceful, and the lodge with the bathroom/kitchen was so well maintained. Truly a luxurious experience.
Not to mention, the check in process was so smooth and simple. The hostess is very communicative and everything you could possibly need to know is given beforehand. This made the stay just that much more relaxing.
The property is also extremely close to Woodstock and a few distilleries/breweries. We got so much more than the leaf peeping we went for! It was a very convenient location!
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this enchanting treehouse retreat, and it exceeded all expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the beauty of the surrounding farm and the warm hospitality of the staff.
The farm's picturesque landscape provided a perfect backdrop for a tranquil getaway. The attention to detail in the design of the treehouse was evident, offering a unique and comfortable vacation home. Cleanliness was impeccable, ensuring a worry-free stay.
What truly set this retreat apart was the exceptional customer service. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and attended to any need with a smile. It's rare to find such genuine care for guests, and it made my stay truly memorable.
I wholeheartedly recommend this hidden gem to anyone seeking a one-of-a-kind escape. Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat, a comfortable stay, or simply to be surrounded by breathtaking scenery, this place has it all. Don't miss the opportunity to experience this slice of paradise—I'm already planning my return!
Friendly owners with a very comfortable and accommodating space.Very well thought out with a great common space .Hiking trails , fire pit , animals , fresh eggs and produce in season.Highly recommended!!
I was on an adventure with my young daughter and was looking for something unique. This was perfect. The common building was beautiful and had a great bathroom and other amenities if needed.
What a unique experience staying in a literal tree house. The bathroom shared with the other tree house was so wonderfully built as is the barn that it resides in. I only stayed one night and wished I stayed multiple nights. I will definitely consider staying here again for future MTB trips in the area!
I loved staying here and wish I had more time to enjoy being on the property more. I will just need to come back and make this the destination!
Hosts were great!! They were quick to respond to messages and provided excellent details.

I would book again
The only improvement I would make is they need a 1/2 bathroom. So when someone's in taking a shower there's somewhere for you to go to the restroom.
