"The beds and pillows were the best thing about the cabin. They were wonderful! The cabin was clean but I don't understand why there's carpet in every single room even in the bathroom and kitchen. It was way too hot in the cabin in the evenings. The fans were way too small and could not keep up with the heat. The bedrooms were above 80 at night even with the fans on. I brought a wind tunnel fan with me and that saved us partly. The dock is in bad shape did not represent the photo as advertised. I did not know that there was going to be a fence between the cabin and the lake and private homes between the cabin and the lake. The lake was mossy and not swimmable. The fires around made it difficult and everywhere we wanted to go had very poor air quality so we were kind of stuck there and just surviving the heat. That's why we left on Tuesday although I paid through Friday. The heat was miserable and those cabins really need air conditioners at least in the windows during the summer heat.I would not recommend anyone stay there in the summer unless they bring their own AC unit. It might be okay for a hunting cabin in the off season."
"It was lovely. Much better than we had expected for the price. Such a wonderful place to stay and so affordable. Very very nice lovely blankets. All the things you need in the kitchen. Very safe. Perfect view. Clean sheets. Everything was so wonderful!"
"We loved our stay at The Trapper! It was super clean, comfortable beds, hot shower, great little kitchen and we loved sitting on the porch in the morning while enjoying our coffee. ((The coffee shop across the street was an absolute bonus!)) We’ll definitely be back! "
Christian Retreat Center – 30 Beds - Full Kitchen - 4 Showers - 20 Private Acres
10/10 Excellent
"This was a beautiful property. We had some difficulty with an incorrect WiFi password and not having the cabin key codes, but the host was very responsive and got back to us quickly with any issues. There were a lot of wasp nests on one of the cabins and the outdoor dining space, though nature is nature. We had an incredible time and enjoyed the solitude and privacy. This was a lovely experience and we're glad we had the opportunity to go. "
