Schönes Hotel in Zentrumsnähe

Posted Mar 18, 2016 on Ebookers

It's clean, it's comfortable, it's quiet. What more do you want?

EVERYTHING in Norway is expensive. No, shut up, you know I'm right--EVERYTHING is expensive, and when you're visiting Norway's largest city above the Arctic Circle, let's face it--you're not coming all the way up here to sit in your hotel room all day. No, you want to maximize your spending power and save the NOKs for dogsledding and Northern Lights hunting. The Thon Tromsø is located one block from the main promenade in downtown Tromsø, close to the city bus lines and only a short walk from the much pricier hotel where many of the tour groups depart (I won't say the name of the hotel; if you come here you'll figure it out soon enough). It's clean, the rooms are small but comfortable, it's quiet, the Wi-Fi is reasonably speedy, and (for Norway) it's decently priced. The staff are terrific--I accidentally left my sunglasses in my room when I checked out and the housekeeper Tina retrieved them and saved them for me (thank you Tina!!). You get a room that won't break your budget and will let you rest and recover for the REAL reason you came to Tromsø: whatever it is you plan to do on the next day of your Arctic adventure. What more do you want?
