"The staff were warm and welcoming throughout my stay, which made a great first impression. The room itself was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and I especially appreciated being able to open the windows for fresh air — something that’s surprisingly rare in many hotels these days. I also enjoyed the character of the building, which used to be an old bakery; the historic atmosphere added a lot of charm to the experience. Having access to a laundry room was another very handy bonus. Breakfast overall was very good, with plenty of choice and good-quality food. It was a pity that, due to a strike, the hotel wasn’t able to provide the complimentary afternoon waffles during my stay. The hot breakfast options were also fairly limited, although everything available was fresh and enjoyable. The main downside was the noise. On weekend nights there was a lot of late-night noise from nearby bars and drunk people outside until around midnight, and throughout the week there were very loud seagulls overnight. Of course, this isn’t really something the hotel can control, but it’s worth noting that light sleepers or anyone sensitive to noise may want to keep it in mind before booking. Overall, though, I had a pleasant stay and appreciated the hotel’s comfort, character, and friendly atmosphere."

"I have booked one night stay at this Hotel few month ago before our trip to Trondheim. When I arrived at the hotel on May 19th in the afternoon, I was shocked to find out that the hotel was temporarily closed due to ongoing strike in the hotel. I have never received any notice or any alternative arrangements before. I had to quickly find another hotel to stay for that night. Not only it has costed me more money, it also costed a lot more stress for me. It is so unprofessional for this Hotel!"

"This is supposed to have an award-winning breakfast, however, due to the strike, I have to believe that the breakfast was limited. Location was great. I was literally in the shower when I discovered that the shampoo containers were empty. I had to call down for a refill which they did quite quickly. This was a last-minute Hotel change due to the strike Respectfully, Hotels.com should have paid for the cost differences of the hotels when the Radisson Blu close their hotel for the strike. Radisson broke their contract with Hotels.com. My contract with Hotels.com was still intact. BAD FORM Hotels.com!!!!!! "
