If you're traveling with little ones, you'll love this hotel. The Hotel Monterey Okinawa Spa & Resort genuinely rolls out the welcome mat for families. From the moment you arrive, you'll find activities designed to keep children engaged, curious, and happy, so you can relax and enjoy yourself too. It really is that kind of place. Getting there couldn't be easier. If you're hopping on a bus from the airport, you have two convenient options right at your doorstep. One stops directly in front of the hotel, and another just across the street. Either way, you're steps away from settling in. And once you're there? The neighborhood invites you to explore. A wonderful variety of restaurants awaits just a short walk away. So whether you're craving something local or something familiar, you'll find it. Grab essentials at one of the nearby convenience stores, or treat yourself to a piece of Okinawan artistry at the Ryukyu glass studios within walking distance. It's the kind of detail that turns a hotel stay into a genuine experience of the place.

Room was very nice and comfortable. Location is good. A couple of nits prevented staff from getting 5 stars. First, the bell hop who brought up our luggage clearly wanted a tip and even after my wife gave him 1000 yen, he seemed to be waiting around to see if we would give him more. Since we only paid 1500 yen to get a taxi from the airport to the hotel, the tip already seemed excessive considering the no-tip policy in Japan. Also, even though the maid changed our towels and made our beds, the floor was not vacuumed. The in-house massage was also way over-priced. I was able to get one within a short walk from the hotel for less than 1/3 the price.

The room was very nice. We were under the impression that there would be a common pool as Expedia listed pool under “things to do”. If you are looking for a pool you have to upgrade your room to the suites with a private pool. When figuring out what else to do since we couldn’t access the pool, one of the staff, I believe the chef or sue chef helped us find nice beaches and showed us how to book ferries to visit other islands. He was extremely helpful and spoke English very well.

We were very happy with our stay at the Prostyle Terrace. The room was a good size, the hotel amenities were pleasing and the location was excellent. The staff were very friendly and worked hard to accommodate us. The breakfast in the morning was fresh and delicious. It would have been nice to have had some evening food options on site, but we were well connected and could walk to get food within several minutes. The bed was a bit firm, but not excessive, and we slept o every night. Overall, highly rate this hotel and we would stay here again!
