Schierke as a town is a bit dated and quiet in the autumn, when we visited. Is was difficulty to find a place to just have a couple of drinks etc. The national park, Brocken and paths are all excellent for a short hiking-holiday. Great nature, chalenging paths (if you want it), nice restaurant on the summit."

"Het was in 1 woord geweldig! We hebben wel enorm lopen zoeken waar we moesten zijn. De kamer was nog beter geweest als er 1 of 2 stoelen zouden zijn geweest. Maar hoe leuk is het om met de kabelbaan naar je hotel te gaan en dan daar boven ook nog eens geweldig te kunnen eten. Het ontbijt is vanaf 9:30 dus zijn we naar beneden gelopen om daar te ontbijten, mooie optie! Ook beneden leuk en aardig geholpen."
