Schlosshotel Stecklenberg

Thale

10/10 Excellent

This hotel is a small, family run hotel that is very lovely and restored so beautifully. The hotel is roomy, quiet, and a wonderful stay. Don't expect a lot of service extras, as reception has only a few hours a day, but they are available in case of emergencies. If you are looking for a quiet, tranquil get away, this is a perfect place. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had variety from day to day as well. Highly recommend.

Schiefer Suite Hotel & Apartment

Goslar Old Town

10/10 Excellent

First off: The staff was phenomenal! From the front desk, to the restaurant (thanks for preparing my complimentary Tiramisu at 10:45pm!), to the cleaning crew, they were all amazing. The room was bigger than I needed it to be, since it was over two stories. But it was very clean and pretty modern. Very comfortable bedding. Be aware that...

Torfhaus HARZRESORT

Clausthal-Zellerfeld

10/10 Excellent

This is my 16th trip to Germany. The Torfhaus Resort rates as one of the best experiences that I have ever had. The location is perfect for hiking, biking, sightseeing or just relaxing. It is in the forest, but close to Altenau, Braunlage and other larger communities. The cottages are in excellent shape with the most modern appliances. Staff is very professional and always on duty. We also used the fitness room and were pleased with the up-to-date equipment. Most important---my wife...
