Valley Ford Vacations
Many of Sonoma Valley’s most interesting sights are located near to Valley Ford, so it is a convenient place to base yourself. Two attractions that should be on every visitor’s list is the fabulous Tomales Town Hall and the iconic Tomales City Park. If time permits, be sure to also visit the Tomales Regional History Center and Bohemian Grove.
Stop by some of the nearby museums and galleries, which help make the area such a great vacation choice. There are many excellent places visitors can pay a visit to for a couple of hours such as the Petaluma Historical Museum in Petaluma. For a great night out, book tickets to Phoenix Theater in Petaluma and the Spreckels Performing Arts Center in Rohnert Park, one of the area’s best-loved performing arts venues.
There are a number of picturesque outdoor attractions here as well so make sure you enjoy the nearby green spaces. To catch a glimpse of the nearby wilderness drive out to the Point Reyes National Seashore in San Rafael and the Armstrong Redwoods State Park in Guerneville. Watch as the birds wheel overhead, throw a ball and catch some sunshine at nearby the Goat Rock Beach in Jenner.
Work on your backswing at the Foxtail Golf Club in Rohnert Park, amongst the most popular greens in the area.
Hunt down a bargain, stock up on groceries or just enjoy the atmosphere at nearby shopping hotspots like the Petaluma Village Premium Outlets in Petaluma.
Those travelling without kids will enjoy an afternoon or night out at Deloach Vineyards in Sonoma, the Korbel Champagne Cellars and the Kendall-Jackson Wine Estates.
