Fantastic stay in a charming house. Georges is an excellent host and made us feel very welcome. The house is conveniently situated for easy access to all of the historical sites. The kitchen has everything needed for a short stay. Excellent boulangerie within walking distance as well as bar and small supermarket. We had a great holiday!

Private, quiet & lovely

In the heart of a beautiful town, a short walk to a wonderful bakery and small grocery with a wide selection including fresh produce. Normandy landing beaches are nearby and great to be able to park in front of gite.

Our experience at this house was exceptional. The owners pre-coordinated dinner for our first night, a wonderful seafood paella including a cheese plate, beer and wine and dessert. The house was well furnished even for a large group. Ver-Sur-Mer is centrally located amongst all the Normany D-day sites as well as Honfleur and Etretat.

Charming home, extremely close to lots of sights in Normandy. You cannot miss the British Memorial that is minutes away. Georges was extremely friendly and helpful. House has everything we needed. Really cutely decorated. Great outdoor space which was perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. I would highly recommend!

Ver Sur Mer vacation

The home exceeded our expectations, plenty of room inside and a private outdoors area. Great location for visiting historic landmarks and the house itself has plenty of history. Friendly village, Boulanger and cafe within walking distance with Fabulous freshly baked items each day. Parking was also available at no additional cost. The host was welcoming and helpful. I would love to return!

Normandy

This was a great property to stay at. It is located 20 minutes from Bayeux and was easily accessible. The map on VRBO has the address as number 37 if you click on the map but the address is listed as number 17 and that is correct. George offered to prepare us dinner the night we arrived but I waited too long to respond so if you are interested in that reply early. The beds were great, the house was comfortable and the location was good. Would stay there again.

Great apartment near Gold Beach!

Absolute great experience! Next to a beautiful old church and about a mile from the beach, in the center of the old village. Host were amazing. They had every amenity one could think of. Thank you!!!

Wonderful house and location for exploring the coast of Normandy

We arrived and were greeted warmly! Next we got a tour of the house with explanations on the shutters, kitchen appliances and BBQ. They have a notebook with helpful info too! It’s a quiet village and was a super location to head up and down the Normandy coast for lots of sightseeing-WWII, La Mont St Michel, Monet’s garden to the east. Fabulous memories were made and I would stay here again!!

Great Stay at Ver de Mer

We had a very nice stay at the grand gite in Ver de Mer.Our multi generational fa.ily, parents, children and grandchildren were very comfortable with with enough space for everyone. Georges met us on arrival and familiarized us with the property. We arrived later than expected so the local shops were closed. Georges made us reservations at a lovely nearby restaurant where we enjoyed a delicious meal. The gite is within distance of all the sites we planned on visiting, Bayeux, the Normany beaches, the American Cemetery, Pont de Hoc, etc.This is a comfortable property in a great location with a gracious and accommodating host.We would recommend this property to anyone visiting this area.

Absolutely lovely space! Very thoughtful and generous; every accommodation we could have wanted!!

We arrived late at night and Georges was so kind and helpful. The home was beautiful and easily and luxuriously housed my 7-person family (including 2 kids). They had little touches like potty trainers in each bathroom and a tub of toys under the stairs 😊 We just stayed one night but everyone in my family said they wished we were staying longer. Just lovely!

Beautiful house in convenient location

The house was as described with hi-speed internet and plenty of parking on-site to fit our 9-passenger van. A beautiful home in a very convenient, yet peaceful, location for our trips to Bayeux, Caen, and the surrounding beaches. The best part of this experience was interacting with our host, george. He was very hospitable and at our request came inside and visited with us, sharing all of his expertise of the local area as well as Paris. Visiting with George was one of the highlights of our trip and if we ever return, his will be the first property we look up!

Landing Beaches tour

Great location for touring the landing beaches. Just what we were looking for. The house is located just enough outside the busy areas that we were really able to get the feel of living n the French countryside. Georges meet us at the house and explained everything in fine detail. Parking located right across the road from the house. Well equipped kitchen that we were able to cook breakfast each day before setting out for full days of adventure. According to Georges the church bell ringng can keep folks awake at night. We were so busy through the days we slept soundly through the night, we never heard it. Merci Georges, well done.
