“Facility was as described. Nice place for an overnight stay. Had a little trouble with door codes to get in but that was quickly resolved. We got so many emails from Evolve and apparently missed the proper code that was misrepresented in the initial correspondence.”

“The property was very clean, spacious enough for me, my husband and four kids. Very peaceful, hot tub was a plus for after hours to wind down after a long day of fishing from the private pond. The camper was equipped with everything we needed to cook and grill with. Kevin was an excellent host, and we plan on making more trips to his property.”

“The pond did not look like it did in the picture and it was a disgusting color and did not have a beach walk in area. There was also a bug in the refrigerator and on the floor by the refrigerator and then another bug by the garbage can and there was dog food from previous people that wasn’t picked up also thought it was ridiculous at 830 in the morning there was a mowing crew outside that was woken up to on my vacation and I took pictures of it ”

“The cabin’s interior was clean and tidy, with eclectic decor and a working pinball machine (so fun!). There is central air that works very well and stands up to that southern Illinois humidity. The shower was perfect for my 6’5 husband and had great water pressure. You’re surrounded by deep woods but only a few minutes outside of Carbondale, a short drive to Giant City, and all of the other great places in the area. The cabin was a bit hard to find at first, while there was signage, it still……

“Pretty nice stay overall. Location's clean and quiet. Deer and peacocks around if you like those. Hard to get lost. Only 5 miles off from stores if you need to pick something up. Negatives: I'm short and had a hard time reaching things, so I had to buy a stool (that's a me problem, I realize). The wi-fi never worked so I had to rely on mobile data (TV streamed through satellite so that was fine). Dealt with a lot of spiders and flies. Didn't try the hot tub because two wasps were hanging around……

“Over the past four years while visiting our Saluki, SIVR and Wall Street Boutique has been a favorite place for us to stay. They have taken such good care of us on all our visits to see our daughter. The apartments are beautifully appointed, extremely comfortable and always clean. It has been the perfect home away from home for us. The welcome guide was always full of great recommendations for the area. Any future stays in Southern Illinois will definitely be with Southern Illinois Vacation……

“We enjoyed our stay at the well outfitted cabin near the Shawnee Wine Trail. Cabin is conveniently located near Giant City State Park and the lodge restaurant. ”
