A Truly Peaceful Retreat My stay at Last Word Constantia was nothing short of wonderful. From the moment I arrived, there was a sense of calm and serenity that made it easy to relax and unwind. The atmosphere throughout the property is beautifully peaceful, with a warmth and quiet elegance that makes you feel instantly at home. The room was exceptional: spacious, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully appointed with every comfort you could need. It felt luxurious without being overly formal, creating the perfect balance between indulgence and relaxation. Waking up to the tranquil surroundings was a real highlight. A couple of my favourite details were: crème brûlée left in my room as a treat. Simply delicious. Also finding a perfectly prepared gin and lemon waiting in my room, a small gesture that immediately made me feel looked after. It's these little surprises that set Last Word apart What makes Last Word Constantia so special is the combination of impeccable comfort, genuine hospitality, and an atmosphere of complete peace. It's a place where time seems to slow down, allowing you to truly switch off and enjoy the moment. I left feeling refreshed, rested, and already looking forward to returning. Highly recommended.

Riversong was immaculately clean. The breakfasts were phenomenal. There were very pleasant sitting areas that we wished we had had more time to enjoy. The view upstairs was amazing. Although the hotel had cautions, we walked after dark to nearby restaurants without issue. It was very conveniently located near to Kirstenbosch Gardens

Frequently asked questions

What's included in a Vermont vacation package?
A Vermont vacation package lets you combine round-trip flights, a hotel stay, and a rental car. Since Vermont is known for its beaches, many hotels offer convenient beach access. Most resorts also offer airport shuttle service to and from Cape Town International Airport (CPT), and about half of hotels include free breakfast, making for a more seamless start to your day.

Exactly what's included will vary by hotel and package, so it's worth reviewing the details before you confirm your booking.
How can I save money on a Vermont vacation package?

Do you need to rent a car in Vermont, or is public transport enough?
Vermont is an outdoor and nature destination outside a major city, making a rental car the most flexible option for exploring beyond your resort. While some Vermont vacation packages with flights may include transfers from Cape Town International Airport (CPT), having your own vehicle allows you to easily visit the various beaches, nature reserves, and adventure activities in the area. For a Vermont beach vacation package, a car is particularly useful for reaching different coastal spots and attractions like Kogelberg Nature Reserve, about 30 miles from central Vermont. If your stay is primarily at a resort with on-site dining and activities, a car might not be essential for daily needs, but it greatly enhances the ability to explore the wider region.
Can I change or cancel my Vermont vacation package if my plans change?
Yes, you can cancel your vacation package via your itinerary page on Expedia or by contacting customer service. Remember that some packages are fully refundable, but the details vary based on each unique booking.
