Eco-Friendly Features
We’re proud to be an environmentally responsible retreat. Here’s how we help reduce our impact:
• LED lighting throughout
• Low-flow plumbing fixtures
• Partial solar power
• Reusable dishes and refillable soap bottles to reduce single-use plastics
• Eco-friendly cleaning products whenever possible
Guest access
Guests may park in the driveway.
Access the home through the front door using a custom keypad code provided before check-in.
Other things to note
• We’re located in the rainforest at an elevation of 3,500 ft (1,000 m)—it can get cold and rainy, so please bring a rain jacket and warm layers.
• Cell service may be spotty, so we recommend enabling Wi-Fi calling during your stay.
• We’re near the most active volcano on Earth. While it’s usually peaceful, volcanic gas (vog) and minor earthquakes are possible. Rest assured, the home is built to the highest seismic safety standards.
• Like most homes in the area, we rely on catchment water, sourced from rain. Our on-site water treatment system removes impurities and sterilizes the water.
For drinking, we also provide reverse osmosis filtered water.
