Check-in is at 2, which is great! Rooms are decent for the rate, not a terrible drive into College Station, easy on & off the highway. Water pressure in the shower is meh, but it gets the job done.

The property was average and it has a very nice staff. My room was clean. Ms. Ruby was very nice at the front desk. I'll be back and will inform my family for the next family event.

Rooms were clean and nice. No air conditioning in lobby or hall ways. Somewhat dirty in public areas.
I've stayed here many times, always a positive experience. Clean, comfortable room, friendly staff. My only issue - which is NOT the fault of the property - is the lack of water pressure and hot water. This is a known issue with the city.
I've stayed at this location several times. The last few visits have been less than perfect, but was encouraged to hear that there was new management. Definitely more organized and well staffed. My only complaint was there were no hand towels in the restroom. Other than that, it was excellent.

I'd Book Again
The guy checking in was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. My room was not cleaned between my 1st night and 2nd night. The continental breakfast was very sparse. The sign stated the breakfast opened at 7 a.m. When I left at 7:20, it was not open & no one was at the desk.

First of our 2 rooms was good. Second one smelled extremely strong smoke odour. The one they exchanged it with already had someone in it. Finally found one on another floor that was ok.

Not the Best/Not the Worst
Cleanliness of room was good; however, the bed sheets were old and well worn. One of the bath towels still showed signs of dirt on it even though it smelled clean and seemed clean. Tub/shower area could definitely use an upgrade. The room fainlty smelled of cigarette smoke with an over powering disinfectant smell. Breakfast was scheduled from 7:00 to 8:30. I went down at 8:00 for a glass of milk, and it was closed. The ladies at the front desk quickly scrambled to open it.

Won't stay here again.
The trip was good, the stay was average. The room had only one wash cloth and the shower had a very slow drain. The water was above my ankles by the time I finished my shower. The toilet lid was loose. They had only one luggage carrier, and the person behind the counter had to go find it. They also said they had a breakfast starting at 6:00am to 8:30am. We had no breakfast on Sunday morning, and it was 7:50am when I checked to see if it was open. The lights were off, and no food was available. The person behind the desk was not available. My party left and had to go find a place that served breakfast. The rating for the hotel should be a 2
I've stayed here many times over the years. of the 3 hotel options in Marlin, this place is the most expensive, and usually worth the cost. not this time. the first thing I noticed is that there were no towels in the restroom. and it was dirty. the previous occupants left a bar of soap in the shower, along with a few "hairs." I'll leave it at that. the smoke detector was literally hanging from the ceiling by it's cords. I needed to transport my luggage from the car. noticed the hangar where the luggage carts are stored was empty. I asked the attendant, he said both carts were on the 2nd floor. he didn't apologize, and didn't offer to bring the carts down for me, so I had to get them myself. the one good thing is that the heater worked, as it was in the 20's outside. perhaps it worked TOO well. it seems the thermostat wasn't working so it wouldn't shut off when the room reached the preset temo. had to get up in the middle of the night to turn it off manually. if only I was as fortunate with the hot WATER. I wasn't. it was barely tolerable enough to shower. I let the girl working the desk know the next stand she said she'd let someone know. I guess she didn't, because the issue reminded for the rest of my stay.
as I said, I've stayed here many times and it's usually a pleasant experience, but it's been lacking for the past few years. I was hopeful when I found out that there was new management. it was better for a bit, but eventually things deteriorated yet again.
There was no water in the pool. Breakfast was not that great. There were chips on our floor like it hadn’t been vacuumed. No wash rags. The staff was friendly. Sheets and towels were clean. The toilet seat was broken.
Do not check in or out on Sundays, as there is basically no staff on site! We only needed to stay one night as an emergency, so can't say if this location is decent on other days, but our check in experience was horrible. The room itself was fine, nothing to complain about.
