“Excellent cozy holiday house. Very clean with all things present that were needed for an accomodation house. Comfortable beds with loads of warm duvets and spare blankets for the cold location mid winter. Extremely effective fireplace with exceptional firewood making warming the house very easy. Both my 9year old daughter and I very much enjoyed the brilliant range of kids books. Thanks loads Tracey and Steve. Was great getaway retreat to base from. Highly recommended. Close to tbe main road……

“Traveling with my family of 7 and my parents, I needed a place that could sleep 9 people. My options were slim, however we found the perfect place with this rental. The house and gardens are beautiful, the view is spectacular out to the lake. The location is extremely private, you wouldn’t know you were in a neighborhood as it’s surrounded by native bush. I was nervous from other reviews that the hosts would be onsite, however we never heard nor saw anyone, I actually don’t know if they were……

“Our party of 12 had a great stay at Tessa property. Location was perfect for what we wanted (kids had a ball riding their bikes around the nice quite cul-de-sac, river/local cafe/playground within nice walking distance). House was well stocked w everything we needed & had plenty of room for everyone (kids loved all staying together in the big bunk room). Brazier was a nice touch for some mid-winter cheer. Tessa was a very responsive & accommodating host.”

"As a frequent traveler, I have stayed in many motels, but Village Resort Taupo stands out as one of the best. The apartment was spacious, impeccably clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is superb - it's just a 2-minute walk across the road to the lake, yet the motel itself is very quiet and peaceful, away from the crowds at the lakeside. I will absolutely be returning to stay there on my next visit to Taupo."
