“This is a lovely historic property, walking distance to pubs and restaurants. Our host, Eddie was an absolute joy to spend time with and his dog Willow was friendly and well behaved. We seriously hope to return someday.”

“This was a little tougher than expected. However it was altogether nice. More like renting a resort cottage. Would be great for young couples or groups of friends. Lots of little extras having a full kitchen and laundry. Shower not really an option. Local area very quiet. This also meant few options for pubs or restaurants except the local grocer. Slept well with the windows open and enjoyed magnificent views of the mournes and water.”

“The Avoca is located along the sea front and the foot of the Mourners mountains. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and attentive throughout our stay which was to celebrate my wife's birthday. The staff kindly presented her with a bottle of prosecco and birthday card - much appreciated.

The food was lovely, we had breakfast everyday and had a few evening meals 10/10.
The hotel was also central for the town the bus and train station should you wished to go off to Belfast or Dublin for the day.”
