About this property

Rural Vermont with internet and Smart TV, cell phone works, Dogs welcome.

  • This 1000 square foot home is located midway between Washington and Chelsea, Vermont. One of the few places I have ever been where you can go hours without hearing a man made noise. The main bedroom is on the second floor and includes a king size bed and two twin beds. A small full bathroom ,living room, kitchen and dining table are located on the first level. We also added an outdoor shower in 2025.
A sun porch is attached to the living room with a futon. Propane heat as well as a wood stove are also on the first level. Both stove and refrigerator are gas. There is a spring fed wildlife pond with a sand beach section and fire pit adjacent to the home. Parking is available for multiple vehicles.
The Town of Washington Clough Cemetery is just up the hill from the house and worth a visit. It is very small and we mow it. About once a year family members visit and pay respects to those interned there, please be respectful if someone visits. I have only seen one visit in the last 2 years so a visitor during your stay is very unlikely unless it's Memorial Day.
The closest local store is the Washington Village Store about 3 1/2 miles away and has most all the basics, plus a walk in beverage cooler! Also Will's store in Chelsea has some basics.
Nearby attractions within one hours drive include Barre, Montpelier, Woodstock, Quechee, Waterbury, Norwich, Stowe, Burlington, and Waitsfield.
