The apartment is even prettier than it appears in the photos, and it affords privacy in an attractive, quiet and very safe neighborhood populated by friendly families and dog walkers. There are windows on three walls which flood the rooms with natural light and provide plenty of fresh air. I found the bed and sofa to be very comfortable.
The location is perfect, with Mt. Vernon Ave a short walk away, where you can enjoy great local shopping, restaurants, coffee and ice cream shops. And, the National Mall and downtown DC are a mere 20 minute drive.
One word of caution: the kitchenette is not for cooks-! There is no stove or oven but two hot plates are provided in addition to the microwave. You’ll find basics such as plates, glassware, mugs, flatware, utensils and pots and pans, but no large serving bowls, casserole dishes, mixing bowls, etc. While some rentals have a stock of commonly used spices and other basics, this one provides salt and pepper and a couple bottles of leftover olive oil. Last, there is no dishwasher.
So…if you don’t care to do much cooking and don’t mind hand washing your dishes, this is a very cute, clean and comfortable apartment that I recommend very highly!
