The hotel needs investment- hairdryer in the room was broken. Lots of TV stations not working. Very old fashioned decor. The hotel really needs investment

We were so pleased with the Hotel Monopol. Our train was delayed so we missed our connection and needed to overnight in Frankfurt. I booked the hotel and when we arrived, the staff was so welcoming and friendly. Check in was easy and our room was huge! The hotel is older but well kept. Our room overlooked a busy street and had fans for moving cool night air into the space. There were gummy bear candies on each pillow, plenty of towels, and a refrigerator stocked with complimentary water, a soda. and a beer. Beds are comfortable and clean; the bathroom was spotless. Check out was equally easy and friendly. If we’re ever passing through Frankfurt again we would not hesitate to stay here again!

The layout of the hotel is perfect, we parked indoors the underground parking with a quick walk to the reception where a very helpful and friendly receptionist welcomes you to the hotel. Then we headed out our Panoramic View room, which was immaculately clean, and the morning breakfast was perfect. We absolutely loved the train that takes you to the castle and downtown. In addition, the restaurant was able to accommodate for my wife’s gluten allergy (Celiac). We absolutely loved it.

The receptionist was very nice with helping me. It took a while for my reservation to reach the system, but after I emailed the confirmation I was able to get a room. The hotel itself needs an upgrade from the 70s to something more modern and possibly bigger parking areas. The shower water got hotter a few times on its own while I showered. Got lost getting to the hotel so having arrows and signs to point where you need to go would help with the directions.

They should upgrade the hotel with new bed quilts and proper pillows. Though the paid breakfast is a generous variety, they should provide facilities in rooms to make hot drinks. The need to ensure the kettle has enough cable to reach the power supply. The receptionist was friendly and approachable. The hotel is in a handy location for the train station and buses. There are nice walks into the forest. Very limited dining options.
