Very short stay, but the location was extremely convenient, clean, and friendly staff. It was smaller than I expected and my room needed to be renovated. The bathroom tile needed to be replaced & didn't give that clean feeling. Overall it wasn't a bad stay. If I stayed again it would have to be a more renovated room.

This is a safe, nice hotel on a college campus in a great location of DC. The staff was friendly and professional. The only thing we had an issue is with allergies. Seemed like a dust issue as the rooms all have the air conditioning with recycled air. Overall great property.

Maryland Inn is an absolutely fantastic location, but that’s about the only positive I have for it. There’s quite a stench to the place from the time you walk in the front door. We had room 1301. It looks very nice in pictures, but it has the same odor as in the hallways, and the floor was insane with crazy sink holes. Not good for older people who have to get up for the bathroom during the night. My husband and I both had to find our balance a couple of times. It’s really crazy, and they should be ashamed not to fix the floor.

Overall the property seemed well kept visually. Our room was clean and exactly as pictured. The reason I'm not leaving a 5-star review has to do with the fact that there were lots of maintenance issues during our stay. Upon arrival, the computers were down making for a much slower check in. The staff was doing their best to accommodate despite the issue. The second day we were there the elevator was out of service, and was still out of service upon our departure the following day. The last day we were there the ice machine was out of service also. If it was just one issue or another, I would have said - things happen but it seemed like a lot of issues that weren't immediately addressed for being the middle of summer and their busy season.

everything about this stay worked out very well. it was in a good location to get to a few different restaurants and it was really close to the train station. the only issue for some could be the bathroom setup. it just doesn't offer much space so that may get inconvenient. otherwise, i look forward to staying there again. the food in the attached irish pub was also good. and i like that they had an umbrella in the room because the weather shifted during my stay and we almost got a rain storm.
