"Everything was great, except for the first night which was after a hot summer day even for this region. With no air-conditioning, the fans which were provided helped a lot. The next two nights were cooler, so the sleeping nights were very comfortable. The room was clean and well prepared. We enjoyed our stay a lot! The price is lower at this hotel than any others. Here, we are outdoors a lot, so we do not need luxury. I prefer the rustic look as it brings back memories of child hood vacations w/ my parents. Thank you, John K."

"Wonderful Motel in Wilmington, NY (Whiteface Mountain) with updated casual atmosphere, friendly staff, and an onsite restaurant and bar that provide delicious, thoughtful, and farm fresh cuisine and cocktail, mocktail, beer, cider, and wine options. The newly renovated double room included a mini fridge, free wifi, flat screen TV with cable, and air conditioning, among other amenities. The motel is dog friendly (call ahead to ensure room is pet friendly and pay small pet fee). 1 minute drive/6 minutes walk to downtown Wilmington and about 20 minutes from Lake Placid. Other onsite amenities include a communal kitchen, ski tuning room, outdoor fire pit, seating areas (covered and uncovered), community grille, and weekend breakfast buffet (try the muffins). Just a few minutes drive to local hiking spots. Adirondack Chocolate and Gift Shop is just around the corner accessible via sidewalk. Would Highly Recommend 10/10"

"Our daughter had a figure skating competition in Lake Placid, and we decided to extend the trip into a family vacation. The location was perfect for our needs. Check-in was quick and easy, communication with the owner was smooth, and the house was spacious and clean. My husband enjoys cooking, and the kitchen was well equipped. There are plenty of trails in the area, and he enjoyed hiking with our dog while I was at the ice rink with our daughter.We had a wonderful time and are already planning to come back!"

"My girlfriend and I LOVED this place. It's not the Marriot or some chain, so it's a bit unique and has quirks, and that's why it's awesome. The room was small but comfortable, the bed very comfy. There was no TV in the room, which I really liked. Great shower. Outside there was a little deck with chairs so we could relax, listen to the Ausable River and look at the lovely grounds. There was also a restaurant area (closed while we were there) that we could sit in for meals or just to hang out. Cool decorations everywhere (and a TV, if you really needed one). And a small game room with foosball, pingpong and a pool table. Fire pit with chairs. Oh, and they provided a nice bagged breakfast with an egg, granola bar, orange, juice box -- basically a good hiking snack. And the staff were very friendly and helpful."

The kitchen was excellent for multiple cooks and the island seated everyone to enjoy our meals together. The instructions for the hot tub and sauna were well laid out and what a fantastic treat after climbing Cascade mountain! Our hosts were extremely helpful and very lovely, responsive and thoughtful.
