Perfect for 1 night before or after a flight. Middle of nowhere so it was quiet. The staff were super lovely, couldn’t do enough for you. Only things that were a let down - the tv didn’t work and the shower only had two settings - very hot (and I like my showers hot, so this was saying something) or cold (which you couldn’t get it back to cold until you turned it off again)

Potholes at entrance .Sign saying beware of potholes! Why not fill the potholes?? No elevator. Old fashioned dark room. No hot water first morning -fixed for next day. Good points- front desk clerk very helpful-carried our bags up stairs and helped pay toll on line.Beds fine.Restaurant basic (burgers and fish and chips) but well cooked.Located in a rural area.

Hello JwayneWe sincerely apologize for the challenges you had during your stay with us.We value your comments.You had trouble turning on the hot water, according to an inquiry completed by our team on-site, but a coworker was able to help you as soon as you expressed a concern.But there isn't an elevator in this building. As you might have noticed when you were here, we have diggers working to fix the potholes in the main parking lot. We hope to see you soon and appreciate the opportunity to serve you again.

Pros: The hotel was convenient to our early morning departure from Gatwick airport, and the staff were pleasant and helpful with our luggage and giving us extra towels. The room was clean and quiet, and the hot water was great. Cons: The room had a slight odor, possibly mold. The desk clerk gave us inaccurate airport information. Additionally, the taxi, arranged by the desk clerk the evening before, arrived 20 minutes late, at 6:20 AM instead of 6 AM. The taxi let us off at the north terminal, as instructed by the desk clerk the night before. When we got inside, we found we needed to go to the south terminal. The combination of issues, along with delays in the Gatwick Airport assistance service, meant that we lwound up getting on our plane 15 minutes before they closed the doors, instead of boarding immediately when they initially opened the plane doors. It was a good thing that we had planned for a taxi at 6 AM, four hours before our flight time. I would likely stay there again on an economy trip, although I might also spend the extra money to stay at an airport hotel chain, like Marriott. And I would definitely not depend on the staff for airport information.

Helpful staff but lots of negatives
The staff were helpful, so thank you for that service and parking for our trip was simple. Although, I did find the minimum charge of £65 for 8 nights excessive when I only required 4 nights. The hotel is very tired and shabby, definitely needs some TLC. It should be made clear on the website that it’s a dry hotel, I completely understand the reason for this, however it should be clearly stated in order for a guest to have the choice of booking a hotel with a bar. All in all, it worked for us for ease of parking on this occasion but we would not choose to stay again.

The carpet in our room was worn, soiled & the whole room smelled of dog! Keep your shoes on. Had to open the window for fresh air & the outdoors smelled of what could have been a septic overflow. The hallway outside our room smelled so strongly of air freshener that I held my breath until through to the other area. The restaurant had very limited options. We did not want Pizza, burgers or fries & the only other option was an Indian dish with Naan Bread. No rice was available for that dish. It was a meagre portion.

Bed clean but the room needed a good dusting. Carpet worn . Had to ask for a hairdryer. Door from reception to downstairs rooms needs the hinges oiling as it squeeked every time it opened & closed keeping us swake .

On a previous visit i asked how i enter the building late at night and was told door is left unlocked, and in the event the door is locked, the room keys open it. This time around, i returned to the property having been on a night out, at around 2am, and the front door was locked. No answer on the phone lines, room key didnt work on the front door and after rining the door bell several times i started to wander around the building looking for a sign of life... someone opened the door after a while (at 2am it felt like a frustrating lifetime). They said the door gets locked at night for security...i asked why i wasnt told that on checkin...was told i didnt ask so it wasnt mentioned...such a thing should be told to guests i think. In the room, a double for two guests, there was only one towel each...same was true on my previous visit... doesnt take much to put an extra set of towels in there. The shower soap dispenser was empty... there was no waste bin in the room, there was one in the bathroom. Hotel restaurant is halal, or so i was told...so thats a positive.

Not a good experience.
Supposed to stay for 2 nights. Only ended up staying for 1, due to uncleanliness. Arrived late friday night, after a 6 hour car journey and had no other options, so had to stay. Hotel had a distinctive smell to it, that was disgusting. Damp/dirty. Bed had hairs in it. Toilet seat had hairs on it. Slept on top of the covers, in outdoor clothes to prevent touching the dirty sheets. Spoke with staff about our departure next day, but staff appeared unbothered. We will not return.

hi,I appreciate your input, Lauren.The on-site personnel has informed us that you only intended to remain for one night when you arrived.We are not permitted to cancel, change, or refund current agent bookings.Although I can assure you we constantly use new linen every day, we have never received any complaints about hair or unpleasant odor. We are always available, so if you had any problems after checking in, we would have been happy to help further. In the future, you can also ask your booking agent to cancel your reservation as long as it is at least 48 hours before the scheduled arrival date. Despite the issues, we hope you will give us another chance, and assure you, you won't be disappointed.

It was not really as represented. The beds were very hard, the rooms are very austere. The staff are very kind. The carpeting in the room were old. The bathrooms was clean.

Staff is not friendly at all. Felt like we were intruding in their home. No food service-they claim to have a restaurant but seems like they only cook food for themselves. No soap or shampoo offered.

Good price for basic stay very near Gatwick
A nice big (double and single bed) room, though the bathroom was a little cramped and a very good price right on the perimeter of Gatwick. Airport noise was not intrusive (unless you want a lie in!). Room was clean and everything worked. No food / meals provided, but plenty of tea and coffee in the room. No fridge in the room, quite common at this level, but a nuisance if yr carrying insulin. Very friendly and helpful checkin/out staff. Open about surcharges (late checkin /out etc) though we didn’t incur any.

We left after less than an hour
It's difficult to tell which was worse: whether it was the holes in the sheets, the stains on the duvet cover, the stains on the carpets, the overwhelming smell of bleach (enough to make your eyes smart), or perhaps the demand to see my driving licence, the swearing when I paid by contactless or the lack of breakfast or any food (no discount offered). Perhaps it was all of these plus a dingy room which was probably last decorated in the 1970s, and a receptionist who didn't even notice that we'd checked out.. he was too busy on his phone.

Great little hotel
Great little hotel, yes it’s a bit dated, but it’s very clean, friendly staff and really close to Gatwick, would definitely recommend. We had a triple room, large, very clean and comfortable,and price was good.

Was looking for a place to sleep for a couple hours before flying home! Booked through the app just b4 12am so I assumed they would know we were going to be a late check-in, we arrived shortly after 2am to a locked door and dark reception, we rang the bell and a man came out of a side house to check us in, first thing he said was we need 10£ extra for late check to me less time there should be less money paid??? But we had no choice so we stayed the whole lobby was under construction and no notice of this anywhere before booking! We got to our room and it was freezing! Owner did bring us a space heater! We we extremely hungry and thirsty and we figured they would at least have a vending machine but all they offered was tap water :$ Room was clean but extremely out dated! If you’re looking for a comforting stay this ISN’T your place! Gentlemen working definitely wasn’t personable but there was a lady owner who was extremely helpful but to reach anyone even after 7am you had to ring a bell to get any service, so I felt like we were disrupting someone’s family’s home! Thanks for the stay but I think you need to be more transparent in your ad and learn some customer service skills Thanks

Better than expected
Having read some mediocre reviews I was pleasently surprised. Parking was great, reception was quick and easy and the room was clean and fresh. Bathroom looked like it had recently been fitted and was great too. Overall a good place to stay.
