Cozy studio cottage in the historical mining town of Silver Cliff, CO!

Don't let the word studio fool you as you make plans for a getaway to the Wet Mountain Valley, situated at the base of the majestic Sangre De Cristo Mountain Range. While studio apartments can be small and cramped, they can't compare to this cottage, which sleeps four, with kitchenette, bathroom, wireless internet, smart tv, and 3 burner BBQ grill. You can also enjoy the outdoor firepit and stargazing in the dark night sky. As the first internationally recongnized Dark Sky Community in Colorado, and the highest anywhere, Silver Cliff and the adjoining Westcliffe are the darkest towns in Colorado.
This cottage is an ideal base from which to enjoy the Wet Mountain Valley and surrounding areas. Ski at Monarch, white water rafting from Salida and Canon City, the Royal Gorge, Garden of the Gods, Bishops Castle and is close the the very best mountain climbing, hiking, hunting and fishing that Colorado has to offer. The Sangre De Cristos are host to ten, fourteeners including Crestone Needles and 86 thirteeners. This may be the perfect place to sit back and relax after strolling through town enjoying the best eateries and shops, you may even find it to be a welcome retreat from your everyday routine.

Love this Tiny House
Enjoyed our stay! Loved watching the hummingbirds, light rain storms, the welcome muffins and we did go to the bakery and bought more stuff. Would definitely stay again And it was nice to meet our host too :)

Lovely Cottage Stay!
Our stay in this lovely cottage was so pleasant and lovely! The place is fully equipped with kitchen supplies, plenty of towels, extra blankets, a hair dryer, etc. Juanita even provided a couple of water bottles in the refrigerator. Multiple fans are provided to keep the place cool and there is a screen attachment over the front door to allow the door to be kept open for fresh air minus any bugs going inside. We arrived here at night time due to travel delays. However, the cottage was easy to find and very close to the main road. The outdoor walkway is well-lit and allowed us to find the main fence/gate to the cottage easily. The sleeping arrangement is a good-sized bunk bed. Very fun and it totally makes sense for the space. The beds, pillows, and sheets are super comfortable. The bathroom is well-lit and quite spacious. Overall, the studio cottage was super cozy, clean, and comfortable! Thank you Juanita for such a lovely accommodation!

This property is a cute little gem for those looking to getaway. The items supplied in the kitchen are perfect for making a few meals there and saving on eating out. Beds were comfortable (except my husband at 6’1” had to sleep diagonal) and the view was beautiful! The cleanliness was superb and we had a very enjoyable stay!

Cozy cottage in great location
We really enjoyed the cozy cottage in a great location for the music festival we were attending. Great backyard , where we enjoyed several meals. Bunk beds were a little awkward, but I understand why she did it. The unit could then accommodate four instead of just two.

This little gem has everything you need. Juanita was a fabulous host and even provided us with coffee and we are big coffee drinkers! The view is amazing, we cooked out on the grill one night, and just thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great Place
This was our first experience with a VRBO. We are very familiar with the Silver Cliff/Westcliffe area, and this cute little cottage is in a great location to all of the local restaurants and shops and is near lots of hiking, camping, and fishing areas. It has everything you would want or need for your stay, along with a beautiful view, deer in the yard almost every morning, a super nice back yard area to relax in, and great hospitality. We will definitely keep it in mind for future visits.

Very cute mountain getaway
This was the perfect little property for our time here in Silver Cliff/Westcliffe. My wife and I stayed for two nights, and we were provided everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. A lovely kitchenette had all we needed to make our quick meals between activities, and the bed was very comfy. The bathroom was well stocked with towels and we were even given individually wrapped bars of soap. Nice touches! Our host also left us some yummy muffins from the local bakery that we loved! If you are looking for a nice place to stay in Westcliffe, I’d highly recommend this property. We have 0 complaints, and if we ever find ourselves here again we’ll be sure to book our stay here!

Perfect space for small family

At the time we booked the reservations there were no other comments to review. Perhaps this is a new facility. Pictures of the cabin looked nice. Said it slept 4. Was totally surprised to find it was a "bunkbed". Yes, would accommodate 4, but for 2 of us at 75 years of age, we do not need to be climbing a ladder to go to bed. My husband kept hitting his head on the ceiling and I bumped my head on the lower bunk. Would have backed out of the reservation, but nothing else was available for that weekend and probably could not have gotten our $ back on the cabin. Heavy rain so walking between the cabin and house the water ran over our shoes. Back yard was astro turf. Shower leaked. Only 3 hard back chairs at the table so the 4th person would have had to eat outside. Front door did not seem secure. Only 1 window that opened with a small fan. Hard to cool off when it was 90 degrees the day we got there. Was clean and welcoming but just couldn't get past the bunkbed. Would probably be ideal for young people with kids, but for "seniors" I would not recommend just because of the bed. Lesson learned - this was the first time we tried Vrbo and will be the last.

Cute, cozy cabin with outdoor space!
The cabin was so cute and well stocked! Everything was clean, organized and nice. The property owner was very sweet and welcoming. Upon entering the cabin there was a chalkboard saying “Welcome Trant’s enjoy!” along with 4 yummy muffins from the local bakery. We enjoyed cooking out on the grill, playing washers and dining outside and we played several board games that were in the cabin. Nice big, soft towels and comfortable beds and bedding! Quick drive to downtown area where we had ice cream, dinner and bowled. The only negative was no AC and it was quite warm even at night (we’re Texans and love our AC). Would stay again and recommend it to friends!
