"The staff was absolutely incredible. They set the standard for every other hotel I have ever stayed at. From the wonderful front desk staff to the housekeepers I couldn’t find anything that wasn’t 5 star service at all times. I stayed there in 2025 and rebooked for 2026 and I cannot wait to go back in 2027. If you’d to feel like royalty, book this hotel."

"I’ve stayed here for the second time, and the room had windows facing the indoor garden. It’s ok, I just prefer windows facing the street. Also this time the sanitary packs were missing. when we asked, only one set was given for 2 people (twin room). Overall I was satisfied, just wondered how attentive this hotel is to detail."

"This beautiful historic hotel is in a bit of a pause if you are looking for plush carpets etc. due to the war; however, the staff, the service and the food more than make up for it. The rooms are beautiful and spacious with old world charm. The staff, the stars of the property go out of their way to quietly welcome the visitor, anticipating and attending to each need without being obtrusive. Meals in the grand dining hall are beautifully laid out and scrumptious. The hotel is located in the historic city’s centre amidst shops and markets. I highly recommend the George as a haven for any traveller who wants a classy yet unpretentious break or base."
