Budget rooms, a little akin to a hostel. Car park covered in broken glass. Rooms and corridors smell of stale smoke masked with air freshener. Bedding was clean and comfortable, but chewing gum stuck to windowsill and picture hanging off wall. Blind broken (husband fixed so could pull down). Holes in walls and poorly fitting doors. People from bar using corridor for getting to car park and fire doors left open. I’m not even mentioning factors outside of the accommodations control such as noise and heat.

Staff were amazing, room wasn’t the cleanest but all good. Had breakfast on the first morning after being told about it at check in, and for £30 for two people it was very poor and definitely wouldn’t recommend. Overall a good stay though. Lift maybe needs some maintenance.

The room was spacious and clean, except for a few miscellaneous carpet stains, and the staff were really welcoming. We did, however, get the family room which backs onto the beer garden with a wall of full length windows, so the curtains had to be permanently closed else everyone in the garden would be looking in. It was also so so loud until late into the night, which didn't bode well for our sleepy baby. The room was also really hot and we couldn't open the curtains to let air in and there was no aircon. The nice lady on reception did have a fan for us to borrow though.
