"Great little one night stay in heart of Franz Josef. Man at check in was so happy and friendly that I left there smiling. Our room was basic but had everything we needed. Beds weren’t the most comfy but pillows were excellent. Laundry on site at $4 for wash and $4 for dryer was very convenient. Walking distance to everything. Free wifi worked great."

"Absolutely gorgeous setting with a view of the glacier. Villa was comfortable (except for the lack of bedside lamps) with a nice kitchen and good beds. Loved that they had free DVDs available (which we took advantage of thanks to a very rainy afternoon and evening) and laundry facilities. The town of Franz Joseph Glacier was cute but food options weren't great - I'd suggest cooking in. Glad we had 2 nights here! "

Manager very helpful, said every guest has towels & sheets provided (info on website was wrong) Not providing free breakfast or soup as stated on website, but Chateau is close to great cafes & bars. Washing machine & dryer worked well - place needs a fix up & paint. "
