This gorgeous Lake Placid area house rental has everything from a new oversized hot tub to spectacular views of Whiteface Mountain and the surrounding mountain range. Located in Wilmington, this spacious ski lodge is quaint and cozy with enough for larger groups of family and friends. The house features over 4000 sq feet of luxury living and includes three master suites, two stone fireplaces and a location just 3 miles to Whiteface ski area and 12 miles to the Village of Lake Placid and all of the famous Winter Olympic sites including the Miracle on Ice hockey arena, the ski jumps, and the Olympic and World Cup bobsled track at Mount Van Hoevenberg.

Designed with larger groups in mind, the house has a Great Room with a wood burning stone fireplace and walls of windows looking out to Whiteface Mountain. The dining area seats 12 and has more spectacular views. The modern kitchen is fully equipped and there is an oversized "boot room" which will accommodate boots, parkas and all your gear until your next trip out to the slopes.

There are three master bedrooms with en suite baths - one King and two Queens. The King has a beautiful stone fireplace. One Queen has a Jacuzzi tub, the other has a sitting area with another stunning view to Whiteface. The lower level offers two more bedrooms - one with two twin beds and the other with two sets of bunk beds - and a full bath.

There is a large Rec Room with a satellite TV, a game table and various board games. The laundry room has two washers and two dryers.

Outside there are large porches, front and back, including a screened rear porch with a gas grill, a picnic table and a sun deck. There is a firepit to enjoy in the evenings.

The house sits on a seven acre property adjacent to over 200 acres of Forever Wild land with miles of private trails available for hiking, snow shoeing or cross country skiing. Walk to the West Branch Ausable River or take a short drive to Lake Placid to fish, kayak or canoe. The beach and picnic facilities at Lake Everest are just three minutes away.

Satellite TV with DVD, wireless internet and unlimited local and long distance service keep you in touch if you like.

At just 90 miles from Montreal, 250 miles from Boston, and 275 miles from New York City you can easily enjoy the beauty and quiet of life in the wilderness of Adirondack Park's six million secluded acres.

Our family of three generations celebrated Thanksgiving in this spacious home. Home was spacious for 9 of us with multiple bathrooms and bedrooms. Each morning we were greeted with deer and beautiful views of Whiteface. Loved the fireplace and hot tub. Lovely. Our grandchildren as well as their parents loved the location with its proximity to nature. They loved the deer transitioning through the meadow or coming to eat apples which had fallen from the tree in the corner. Great nature walks followed by an evening fire in the fireplace and popcorn as part of family time. Just the right distance from Lake Placid with a beautiful drive to get there. We would most definitely do this again.

Beautiful, spacious home on a gorgeous property. The lower level was ideal for our grand kids to hang out. Screened porch, fire pit, hot tub, large dining table, frolicking deer in the yard ...all made it an ideal place for our family of 11 to get together for our once a year reunion! Easy drive to Lake Placid.

The home was perfect for our adult children and their families, including 2 and 3 year olds. Enough space so everyone could spread out and common areas were great for cooking, eating, playing games. Only 15" from Whiteface Mtn and we were VERY lucky to have about 1 foot of snow the day after we arrived so lots of fun sledding in the yard, building snowmen, making snow angels, and snow cream. Hosts were very responsive to questions and access was easy. There were literally hundreds of ladybugs in the house - dead and alive -not sure what that's about, but probably needs to be addressed. Overall, a wonderful place for a family ski vacation.

This property made for the perfect winter weekend getaway for my girlfriends and I! It had more than enough space for 10 of us, had a great layout and was very clean. We wish the hot tub was bigger, because if only fit about 3-4 people at a time, but other than that it was perfect!
