"Le séjour, l environnement, les propriétaires tout était impeccable. Le lieu au calme, la décoration du chalet superbe. On recommande le petit déjeuner sucré-salé.
On y retournera."

When I booked this three star hotel, I was expecting a three star hotel. Turned out to be much better than many four stars or even some five stars where previously stayed. The criteria for stars appears to be the additional facilities the hotel has, swimming pool, spa, etc. This hotel has what really matters, comfortable rooms, quiet, well located, convenient self-parking.

Hotel Spalentor offers a wonderful, well run place to stay in a perfect location for access to the old town or to get to the train station. Old school kind of place wheree they give you a physical key for your room but everything is clean as a whistle.

We scheduled an extra day to spend some time in the area. We were able to use the free local bus system that stopped right across the street from the hotel.

Great convenient stay right near the airport. The bus to the airport is immediately across the street and starts operating at 4:20am if you have an early flight, otherwise they have an airport shuttle starting around 6 as well. Great comfortable rooms, quiet, and an easy public transit to the city

This is our second time to stay at this location. As always, great experience - comfortable room, friendly staff and most of all, great location! If given another chance, we'd definitely come back.

This place is in a great location. Few steps and you’re in the heart of Basel. Saturdays in the park across the street is a market where you can find amazing antiques and other great finds. Staff are friendly and even loaned me a plugin adapter as mine for some reason didn’t work here. You ’ll also get a pass to take the trams for free around the city! The only two caveats to mention is this is right next to the Basel University, so the rooms in the alley side can be a bit busy and loud later in...
