It was a fine place to stay overnight

We arrived very late as we were staying here for the night in our road trip to NYC. The staff left a note earlier in the day letting the night person know we would be there around 3 am. We arrived just after 3 and it took almost 10 min to check in, when we got up to our room, it had no bed sheets or comforter, had used towels and trash left in the room from a previous guest, and had clearly not been cleaned. We were extremely tired and really wamtes a shower and to get to bed asap to resume our trip in the morning. I went to the front desk, and while thy gentlemen there was very friendly, he clearly had not been properly trained. He could not figure out how to change our room, he asked on site house keeper if she could make our bed for us, which would have been unacceptable as the room was not cleaned, it took him over an hour and we still didn't have a new room. Eventually i asked if they could use a master key to let us into any empty room, and the house keeping did do that. After my shower i went back down and he still didn't have a key for us. I will say the staff the next day was very apologetic amd accommodating, letting us check out late for free, and finally getting us a room key. What happened upon our arrival was unacceptable though. Late night staff should be able to handle any situation that arises.

Thank you so much for such a lovely stay. You were so warm and welcoming. The house was amazing. And the breakfast! Delicious! I highly recommend the Queen. And hope to return again soon.
