“Basic accomodations”

“The guest house is by the lake and the view is really nice! The kitchen and bathroom is shared and well equipped, there are 2 washroom in the floor, one large and one small, the room is a little bit small, it is even smaller than the larger bath room but warm and cozy, it is okay for a good night's sleep and rest for another long drive next day.”

“Located in Hofsos, small town, as others have noted, the details says restaurant but there is not one on site or even in the town. There is a convenience store across the street that has pizza and sub sandwiches, that is the only nearby dining option. The kitchen is nice but small. The whole time we were there two ladies in the other room camped out in it. Be aware also that it's not clear the actual property from the photos but it's the 8th or 9th photo. Not the black house. “Nice host and friendly dog welcome us. A very nice and cozy place. Due to rain snow in the morning, we left in a hurry and didn’t have time to say goodbye. We will definitely come again. ”

“Super cute place once I found it. The tools are located above a tiny grocery store and I hadn’t realized that. Don’t let the store deter you from booking. I arrived around 8, it was closed. Parking lot of 4-6 spaces were empty. All good, very quiet and peaceful. Very nice area right by the water. The only reason I’m giving this a 4 out of 5 is that there was NO ONE else booked in the entire place and I did not have a room facing the water? Had I, I would have had a stunning view of the water and……

“Very friendly hotel. Lovely Scottish lady carried our bags upstairs and made us drinks with chocolates when we came in after dinner. Cosy room and best beds ever!!! Bathroom cold and a bit old fashioned looking. Needs renovating. We ate at Sauda in the town as the restaurant wasn’t open. It was very nice. Good breakfast. Lots of parking.”

“We had a mix up in our reservation but Natalia was very helpful and resolved it to our satisfaction. We were traveling with our teenage grandson and both Ava and Natalia made sure he was served food for a growing boy. We stayed in the new separate building and were very comfortable.”

“We enjoyed our stay here in June 2026. The apartment was a good size and well equipped. The views were lovely and it was very quiet. A couple of days before our check in day we received a message from the host with some very helpful information about things to do and see in the area which was much appreciated. The message said that they would send us check in instructions on our arrival day but unfortunately this didn't happen which left us wondering if there was a problem with our booking, I……

“This is such a magical spot !! The host was communicative and helpful and the property was cozy and well equipped. Possibly the favorite point of our trip! Plenty of room to spread out. Had to deal with a handful of flies on arrival that were stuck inside or dead but there was a lil vacuum so not a big deal. ”
