Stayed one night at Royal Shanaya Villa, 3 bedroom. Loved the luxurious bed and private pool. It was clean and in great condition. The grounds of the property are amazing. The shuttle was quite fun! Contra: the river could be cleaned up. There is construction next to our villa.

Malang is strategically located in the center of East Java. It’s a perfect place to explore for one or two days. Most tourist would come to Malang before and after their journey to/from Bromo Mountain. I would recommend seeing the Bird Market.

I enjoy walking - Malang City has so many lovely sites to see, especially architectural heritage and neat little warungs - continued attention to multi-modal transportation options would really be great so that everyone can enjoy the City

Nice town with a cooler weather, some nice residential areas. Malang is a great base to stay and visit the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, 1h30 drive from Surabaya with the new highway. Main road can be congested, hotels on main road are to avoid
