This is genuinely one of the best, most beautiful hotels I've stayed in. The attention to detail was impeccable. We stayed in 5-star hotels across Santorini, Naxos, and Milos this trip. Milos is small enough to see in a few days, but we wished we'd stayed here longer just because of this hotel. We arrived at night after a late ferry. As we walked up the hill with our bags, two staff rushed over to help. Check-in was smooth, and our bags were brought to the room with no expectation of a tip (I gave one anyway). Staff walked us to our room, explained the amenities, and left a welcome treat that reappeared each evening. The rooms are remarkable: comfortable beds, beautiful decor, and sliding doors opening to a private patio pool. The main pool is a gorgeous, modern infinity pool with a classic Cycladic feel. When I looked for pool towels, staff found me first and said they were on the way. We almost skipped our nonrefundable $430 excursion just to stay at the hotel longer. That's how good it was. We returned early instead. Checkout was just as easy. Staff called the night before to arrange details, and even with my own car, someone still came the next morning, collected my bags, and loaded them into my car himself. They also packed breakfast to go, at no extra cost. The only downside is getting there: 20 minutes from the main part of the island, up a steep dirt road, with unreliable GPS. Drive in daylight, go slowly, and follow the signs marked "Erema" and you'll be fine.
