"A great room, restaurant and friendly staff. The room was clean with a good supply of coffee, tea, biscuits etc. The staff were friendly throughout our stay. The breakfast was spot on, ditto the bar which had a good choice of drinks. The location was perfect for local tourist spots which for us included Holy Island, Bamburgh and Alnwick Castles and Cragside. The only small change that i would make would be to include a fuller set of toiletries and perhaps extend breakfast to a 10 cut off."

"The room was beautiful and the breakfast was lovely. Unfortunately, the dinner was not so good. It’s quite expensive for what you get, I ordered fish and chips and the chips tasted like they had been reheat and weren’t very nice at all."

"The staff were warmly welcoming, room was spacious and clean. Plenty of top quality tea and coffee in room. Room was warm - with a fan if that wasn't what you wanted! Breakfast menu was comprehensive and delicious, as is lunch and evening menu. Large bar area. Car park appreciated. Easy walking distance to centre with a variety of shops, Sunday Market and hospitality venues."

"Nice relaxing break. Well run hotel and staff very friendly . A concern with smell in bathroom dealt with quickly and resolved. Only had breakfast there but very good choice and good quality. Would recommend. Lovely grounds to walk around on a nice day ."
