Indifferent staff. Nothing worked - not the hairdryer, inconsistent wifi, lock to sliding glass door to balcony didn't lock so huge security issue, ice machine didn't work. The property inside & out is shabby.

There was no one at the front desk. We waited in the lobby for 12 minutes and called the property a few times while waiting. We finally called Expedia and during our seventh minute on the phone with Expedia the desk clerk strolled into the lobby followed by a young woman putting her clothes together. The clerk was visibly high and had difficulty getting behind the counter. He tried to climb over, then decided to go under a barrier and fell on his ass. I asked him if he "worked here". He responded "Why?" When we told him that we'd been waiting for almost 20 minutes he said he'd only been gone for two! When we told him that was not true he became aggressive and confrontational. We told him that we wanted to cancel the reservation. He refused to do so. This all occurred while we were on the phone with Expedia. Not comfortable with the situation, we left the hotel. Expedia later refunded the reservation. Had we more time we would have involved the police as we also witnessed a drug transaction right outside the lobby doors and a second involving the same vehicle while we sat in the parking lot looking for an alternate hotel. The young woman - who appeared to be wasted - came outside and took a photo of us we sat in our car searching other properties. The whole experience was disturbing.

The guy at the front desk told us to reserve online because it was cheaper. Got our rooms filthy. You had to slam the door to close it. They were literally muddy footprints in the bathroom. I had no blankets on my bed. The TV did not work. The sink did not drain. The grout and corners of the bathroom were gummy and moldy. I’ve stayed in many motels across the country and I’ve never been in one like this.

Upon checking into this hotel, we noticed the lobby was filthy. We asked to use the restroom which was out of order so we waited to use the one in our own room after checking in. We were then told the bathroom in our own room was out of order and that we would need to wait unti it was ready. While standing at the front desk, we noticed a mouse run across the hall way which was enough for me to know I could not stay in a hotel as disgusting as this. It's ashame it carries the Wyndham name because it is not near the level of Wyndham hotels. While waiting, another customer complained that he had no towels, his room was dirty upon checking in and there was hair in his sink. Armadi, the front desk clerk immediately ran my credit card to ensure he received the full payment once he saw that we had second thoughts about staying. He told me I'd have to wait until Monday (two days later) to ask the hotel manager for the refund. It took 3 DAYS to reach someone at the front desk before they finally answered their phone. Erik, the hotel mgr told me I could not receive a refund since I did not check in and physically enter the room. Why would I want to stay in a room without a working bathroom and after seeing a mouse in the filthy lobby???!?! To make matters worse, the hotel room costs were inflated to $300/night since it was grad weekend at Univ of Michigan. They will not refund this $668 transaction because I would not stay in their mouse-infested hotel.
