"This is an older hotel which has some expected issues but overall is a reasonable value for the area. The free happy hour drinks and snacks were a nice surprise and the included breakfast was very good. Room was dated, but clean. Housekeeping was good. Noise insulation was fair to poor, especially concerning outside noise. My biggest complaint was the parking policy. The hotel uses a local parking garage and "validates" your parking ticket so you can go in and out as much as you like. But they charge you $30/day and a $5.40/day parking tax for this "validated" parking. If you are only in/out once per day, you are much better off just paying at the garage. The hotel needs to clarify this with their guests. When they told me that would "validate" my parking, to me that means you don't have to pay for it. "

"Other than the gorgeous architecture and beautiful lobby, the place was pretty average. The room was clean, but I was short-sheeted (not funny guys!). Didn't see any ghosts, so I was bummed about that. "

"Do not stay here. No elevator except for the service one which smelled of weed. Carpets were damp and sticky. There was shower curtain hung over the window - partially falling off, the sheets were like sawdust, and we left not having used the room. Would not refund after only being in the hotel 10 mins. Expedia have been no help in assisting us, kept me on the phone after I explained the situation and then after waiting for 80 minutes, they inevitably cut me off. I may be done with Expedia."

"Our stay was relaxing and peaceful which was very much needed as we were exhausted every day from sightseeing in DC. Room was clean and comfortable for our family of 4. The location was perfect and just a 5 minute walk to get to the Metro station. There was also convenient grocery store next door as well as a CVS and Starbucks. "
