"Had a lovely stay. Views were stunning. Cottage is pretty basic but clean and has everything you need. The walk into Ambleside is only a few minutes which is perfect for grabbing groceries or going out for a meal. The host, Linda was great and answered any questions quickly. We would return."

"This was our second holiday at High Bield - we stayed 2 years ago. It is a very special place to stay as it is in a wonderful location. We only used the car twice during the one week we stayed because all the walks and cycle rides could be done from the house. Windermere station was only a short drive away so we could easily pick up family arriving from London. Weather wasn’t what we expected in early June - warm for the first couple of days then much cooler with rain for the rest of the week...

The hot tub was a lovely way to relax after a day of shopping and the weather was nice enough to enjoy a bbq. "We were a party of 10, getting together to celebrate the 60th birthday party of 2 family members. The house was beautiful, plenty of room for everyone, although to be honest we spend most of our time in the cosy but large kitchen and adjacent games room. Many period features allowed you to really experience how they used to love. Kirby Stephen high street was a stones throw away, making it convenient for local shops and pubs. Would highly recommend for a large family get together"

"Just returned from a week at Richmond House, where everything has been renovated to a high specification, which makes it a great holiday home. The kitchen is well equipped with quality brands. "Property- fantastic. Many walks to forests/gardens/fells right from the property- Ferry to towns a 10 min walk. Grounds were charming- the kitchen is incredibly well kitted out for those who like to cook- very comfortable beds and the communication was great with the owners."

"Very nice property. The unit appeared to be brand new. Unit was fully equipped with everything needed for our stay. The development has other amenities but we did not use them like a pool and rec building. Great location in the Lakes District for jumping off to see other locations in the area. The host was very responsive to requests via the VRBO app. My only negative would be the poor internet quality. It frequently kicked us off or was unusable for periods of time."
