Stayed for 2 nights for our 8th anniversary. Room was spacious and very clean with a view of the lake and town which was a surprise! I did order a bottle of house wine too which was £17.
Overall really happy with the stay, our shower wasn't working however reported this on check out as we both just used the bath and was told if we'd reported it when we found it broken it would have been repaired straight away so that's on us! Only down side here was the lack of reception at dinner time, when we did go to report it, however every other time there was someone at reception.
Lovely little hotel in a prime spot and great comfortable rooms for a reasonable price, we will return next time we're in the lakes.
My fiance also did the walk behind the hotel while I went shopping and it was an hour round walk, so great spot for a bit of a wander. Parking is £6 a day, which while expensive is to be expected in the lakes, we had no problem parking at all as there were plenty of bays for the hotel and easy access all round. The lift in the hotel is only one person at a time, so we took the stairs but is handy to pop your luggage in while you run up to your floor! Lovely little gem and glad we stayed.
