"The room we stayed in wasn’t clean and the conditions weren’t great. The hotel staff also overcharged us for a few excursions. I’d recommend staying somewhere else if possible."

"Likes: very clean, lots of amenities including microwave, staff is very helpful. View is spectacular! Dislikes: mediocre food, small bathroom and excessive water spills from shower onto bathroom floor. Its a 4.5 for me."

"We really loved our experience at Kato Waidi! The staff were so kind and helpful, the food was delicious, and the location was both peaceful (it’s right on the river!), as well as interesting (it’s right beside a Nubian craft market). Our only challenge was that the AC had a hard time cooling our room, but it was also 117 degrees so I think any AC would have struggled :)"

"Horrible experience. No power or even fan overnight. Shower broken. Not even enough bath tissue. One of the worst experiences in my 25 years of traveling. I would not stay here. I believe there is power cuts aka load shedding but overnight Stay with no ac or even fan in hot summer is a punishment. We messed up our vacation plan deprived of sleep"
