“Like it's sister hotel in VT, MMV le Panorama was a sound choice. Conveniently located a stones throw away from the information centre and ESL school centre as well as local shops and restaurants. Staff were very helpful and food was great with enough variety if there for a week long trip. Had to collect snowboard from local rental shop which are affiliated with the hotel as rental shop in the hotel had limited supply of equipment for snowboarders (skiers in our group had no issues). “Great location near gondola with access to bars and restaurants within a quick walk. Not too noisy other than road clearing each morning which isn’t the hotels fault. Breakfast is a small selection but has great cakes and meat. Comfy bed and bath in room which is a must. Great to be able to make tea in communal area. Parking is anywhere on the street so may not be as lucky as we were if you get there at the wrong time. You’ll also need a 4 x 4 car with snow tyres otherwise chains will limit your……

“Rappel : La Marmotte de la Meije est un gîte dont la clientèle est presque totalement faite d’adeptes de la rando pédestre ou cycliste. Octogénaire peu habitué à l’environnement spartiate des refuges j’étais une erreur de casting parmi les autres clients. Et pourtant je garderai un excellent souvenir de ce séjour et le mérite en revient au couple de propriétaires dont l’accueil extrêmement sympathique et prévenant met tout le monde à l’aise et qui ne ménage pas ses efforts pour satisfaire les……

“Overall a vey high quality hotel. However, I had half board and although the quality of the food was excellent , I would have thought that dinner should give some options on the menu. They were happy to provide alternative if I had asked during the day. Butter should given with the bread instead having to ask each time. An additional cheese dish at 22 euros is a little expensive.”
