The view was spectacular. The food was fabulous. It was the perfect place to disconnect and relax…but also close enough to Bar Harbor and other places when you wanted to do something. View was awesome. Breakfast was delicious. Would definitely stay again if in the area. Make sure to visit tidal falls at high and low tide, very close to the inn. The inn is beautiful and WOW on the location and stunning views. The food was thoughtfully prepared with each guest and their needs in mind. Attention to detail is evident. Thank goodness it isnt. Peaceful and away from the maddening crowds of BH. If you like lots of people, crowded parking, shops and restaurants within walking distance, this place isn't for you. Ehat we found was local hospitality, great restaurants in small towns. Our visits to eastern parks were crowd free,. Vs. main Acadia park, which was overrun. The private shelling beach was an absolute highlight-especially at low tide, when the shore becomes a treasure trove of tiny shells and sea glass. Nicole & Matt are wonderful. Perfect for quiet peaceful weekend getaway. House is over 200 years old so the floors are little wonky angled. About a 20-30 minute drive either way to Acadia Nat’l Park. A few local restaurants within 10 min drive. You should notify them of any food allergies ahead of time as breakfast is just one option- what Nicole cooks 😊. Its lovely but if you are not an egg or gluten person you’d have issues. Cocktails wine and beer available for purchase.
