One bedroom cabin with an extra loft sleeping space minutes from the Frio River!

10/10 Excellent

"Everything was good!"

The Leakey side - Whiskey Mountain Duplex - Great Location!

10/10 Excellent

"The place is great and wonderful location near the fabulous Garner State Park. Be sure to look ar the stars at night. The only drawback - it is next to a somewhat busy road with some traffic noise. It didn't bother me much."

The Hondo Cabin @ Whiskey Mountain - 2 BD/1 Bath Great Location!

10/10 Excellent

"The location of the cabin was surprisingly convenient for both travel to Garner State Park (our main and a popular destination) and Leakey (the warm and welcoming town closest to the cabins). I was able to grill and cook with the same ease I do at home, which is not something I’ve ever experienced at another type of property. The cabins were closer to each other than I expected but it helped my kids, who had not stayed in a cabin, feel less isolated and safe. I would stay here again. The host communication before, during, and after our stay was impecable. We didn’t need as much bedding as we brought; other than that, the description and instruction were accurate. We are grateful that this property was central to our first visit to Garner State Park."

LOG HOME ON THE FRIO RIVER

10/10 Excellent

"The house’s location was perfect - steps away from the river. You could enjoy the peaceful mornings and evenings from the back porch overlooking the river and spend all afternoon down at the river where there was plenty of grass space and smooth rock space to sit out and enjoy, and then deep enough areas for swimming and shallow enough spots to walk around in to enjoy the water! The house was clean, well stocked (one of the best stocked I have stayed in), and had plenty of space for everyone to hang out and enjoy. It had such a homey and inviting feel to it. My family is already asking when we can return! If you are looking for a spot to get away and relax, this house is a great place to escape to."

The Ranch Cabin @ Whiskey Mountain Great Location!

8/10 Good

"Beautiful space that is very cozy; nice slice of nature, only downside is proximity to the highway (one can hear trucks going by all night). Amazing to watch the hummingbirds in the morning & the sunset views were gorgeous. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable spot near the state park. I rented this cabin so my elderly mother (late 70s) could do birdwatching at Garner without having to camp, it was not 'accessible' in ADA standards but also was not worrisome or difficult for my mom to navigate herself."

Adorable cabin STEPS away From the Crystal Clear Frio River - Terrace #3

10/10 Excellent

"The cabin #3 can sleep six and was spotless. There is a bbq smoker on property, and plenty of seating around the campfire on logs and a picnic table. Veronica, your host is awesome and will get right back with you. The cabin is on a cliff over a deep part of the river. Keep this in mind; no beach at this spot but the view is stunning. There is access down to the water though via a ladder, but it's deep there. We tubed the river and we are both 70 yrs old. The water was low-ish with lots of rapids and rocks and trees we had to repel off of. This is a challenging float for a 70 yr old; inconsistent currents and depths and lots of leg, knee and ankle action. We lived through it and it is a beautiful clear, clean river. Normal aged people didn't seem to be troubled. Would not recommend tubing for elderly. But it was fun. Veronica has more cabins right on the water that we will try next time. Ask for those if you want a shaded, clean and shallow water area to put your chair in and sit."

RIVER IS YOUR BACKYARD!

10/10 Excellent

"Beautiful location, there were 9 of us and we were all very comfortable, plenty of room and beds. Big, beautiful porch to watch magnificent sunsets over the Frio River. We spent most of our time in the water. There are many stairs to the water but once you are down along the river, it is gorgeous! Great place for families! Host was wonderful in communicating with us along the way. Highly recommend!!"
