9.2/10 Wonderful! (4,871 reviews)
I'm not sure how this place was so highly reviewed by other users. As soon as you get to your floor, you will notice moldy carpet, low ceilings, like a cheap motel. Once you enter your room, you'll quickly realize the rooms are much smaller than the photos make them seem. They are the smallest rooms I've stayed in over 40 years. The ceiling is low. The rooms have the same moldy smell as the hallways. The doors don't automatically close, so there is a safety risk. They are also paper thin. Honestly, I cannot believe that people rated this so highly. I suspect that people who stay at this place are used to staying in low cost motels and economy hotels, so this is their norm. But for the cost, it is ridiculous. Pay the extra hundred dollars or so and get a modern, clean hotel. Beyond that, there is a Starbucks attached and the staff there are friendly. The hotel staff could learn from Starbucks. Even the cleaning staff were unfriendly. I tried for two days to engage in a friendly manner with them and they ignored me. I suspect there is a toxic work environment that creates this, but maybe they are just trained to not be friendly. There is free water and coffee in the lobby, a tiny fitness room, and a rooftop patio that is nice (but not as nice as they make it out to be, and certainly it doesn't make up for the small, moldy, dated rooms). The parking garage has extremely low ceilings, steep slopes, and is difficult to enter once you get it open. Avoid this dated place.
