The Palácio Hotel do Buçaco was built in the late 19th century in Neo-Manueline style.  It is part of an architectural and landscape complex in the National Forest of Buçaco.  The Palace is richly furnished and decorated with several works of art, wonderful frescoes and fantastic tile panels, representing above all the Epic of the Portuguese Discoveries.  Most works are by 19th century Portuguese masters such as Jorge Colaço and Carlos Reis.

O Palácio Hotel do Buçaco foi construído no final do século XIX em estilo Neomanuelino. Faz parte de um complexo arquitetônico e paisagístico na Mata Nacional do Buçaco. O Palácio está ricamente mobilado e decorado com várias obras de arte, afrescos maravilhosos e fantásticos painéis de azulejos representando sobretudo a Epopeia dos Descobrimentos Portugueses. A maioria dos trabalhos é da autoria de mestres portugueses do séc. “Me encantó mi estancia en este hostel de Coimbra. Disponían de varios baños por planta y todos ellos estaban impecablemente limpios. Además, tenían dos cocinas separadas y equipadas, perfectas para preparar comidas y compartir momentos con otros viajeros. Y la sala de estar era enorme, ideal para relajarse y desconectar después de un día de explorar la ciudad. El trato del personal fue increíblemente amable y agradable. Aunque sin lujos, me sentí super a gusto y como en casa. Recomiendo……

The Palácio Hotel do Buçaco was built in the late 19th century in Neo-Manueline style.  It is part of an architectural and landscape complex in the National Forest of Buçaco.  The Palace is richly furnished and decorated with several works of art, wonderful frescoes and fantastic tile panels, representing above all the Epic of the Portuguese Discoveries.  Most works are by 19th century Portuguese masters such as Jorge Colaço and Carlos Reis.

O Palácio Hotel do Buçaco foi construído no final do século XIX em estilo Neomanuelino. Faz parte de um complexo arquitetônico e paisagístico na Mata Nacional do Buçaco. O Palácio está ricamente mobilado e decorado com várias obras de arte, afrescos maravilhosos e fantásticos painéis de azulejos representando sobretudo a Epopeia dos Descobrimentos Portugueses. A maioria dos trabalhos é da autoria de mestres portugueses do séc. "We greatly enjoyed our stay with CBR Boutique Hotel. The location is very central, right next to the river and main street with plenty of shops and restaurants. The themed rooms are stylish and clean. The breakfast is simple but good and definitely enough to fill you up. What impressed me the most was the staff's hospitality and helpfulness, as they looked out for me and helped me recover my valuables. I am deeply grateful to them for saving my trip! Will definitely stay with them if I visit Coimbra again."
