“A special place this historic farmhouse, lovingly cared for by our gracious hosts. Ideal location - high on a hill with mountain views - yet just minutes from town. Lots of deer and wild turkeys around besides the pet goats and the chickens whose eggs you are free to collect. Farmhouse is clean and comfortable and has many interesting antiques and other items that add to its appeal. Well worth the stay. ”

“This is our 3rd stay on the property and 2nd stay in the farmhouse. My daughter lives in Rutherfordton so we spent most of our time with her to include visiting Biltmore, which took all of Sunday. We stayed from Friday evening to Sunday morning. No time to explore as we have done in the past.”

“My husband and I loved our three night getaway from the city .The older farmhouse had everything we needed, but the highlight was the animals. We loved sitting on the front porch and watching the horses and the donkey and the goats were very entertaining as well. There were a couple of cats that hung around and were very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Unfortunately, for us, it rained every day And the sun didn’t shine at all. Other than that, we had a perfect getaway.”

The exquisite sound of the screen doors as they make their way to the snap of a close. Nostalgic, the kind that opens doors and gets banana pudding made at 1030pm ending with a sit in the porch. The history alone is worth the stay. Can’t wait to see what they do next!. ”

“Check in was super easy. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for our stay.Vicki was a great host!The home was large, clean, and comfortable—perfect for accommodating our family. It was conveniently located for everything we needed. The yard, deck, and BBQ were great to have and made it easy to relax and enjoy our time together. Vicki was responsive and very accommodating—we were even able to add a few extra days to our stay, which worked out perfectly. We’d definitely stay……
