The owners of this property are amazing - very kind and helpful. The grounds are nice and well kept and breakfast was really good. The room itself is quite small but does have air conditioning and a small fridge. There is also a shared kitchen that is well stocked.

I love this hotel it is simple and beautiful there is a pool and a hot tub a communal kitchen and a communal eating area. The breakfast made by Mateo was great. We would recommend to everyone we love. A million stars!

It's ok if you are looking for something basic as an hostel. Not the right place if you are looking for an hotel or a bit of comfort.room is very basic and general conditions as well.

We had some delays on our check-in due to some issues with our car, so we arrived pretty late. However, we called before hand to let the host know and they were extremely nice and understandable, extremely recommended.

Great place, would come back again!

This place was really awesome. It’s one of the best prices in the area and perfectly located close to Cahuita with Punta Uva only a 30 minute drive. The people running the hotel are great and very helpful with information on where to go and what to do, they will also help you book activities if you want. You can purchase breakfast for only 5 or 10 dollars depending on what you chose and it’s made fresh and very delicious. Parking is on the property and there is a gate keeping the car safe from break ins which is especially important in Costa Rica. The sign for the hotel outside is “El Colibrí Rojo” so be aware of that when finding the place.

Ok hotel but wouldn't stay again

The room was clean, had an air conditioner and a functional shower. However, the room was not cozy - very small and dark (dim, florecent blue light that made you not want to be inside). The oweners were helpful and polite but not welcoming.

Ithis place was advertised as in limon , it was not even close 55kms. south of limon on a very bad narrow road , when I located the hotel it was desolate , dirty , no one in attendance but a janitor who spoke no English , he contacted the owner by phone and she said she would be there in 3 hours or more , the place was awful and I refused to stay there and then had to drive 5 hours back to San jose to get a room for the night . I then called the next hotel on my list in La Fortuna which is where I am right now . I paid for 2 nights in advance , this is a very nice place excellent and friendly . I do not feel I should be charged for the hotel in lomon being as it is so bad and not worthy of being on your list of hotels.

Das Hotel ist eine entzückende Anlage mit sehr freundlichen Mitarbeitern nahe des südlichen Eingangs in den Nationalpark (Eintritt dort rund 6 USD). Anreise mit dem eigenen Auto ist von Vorteil, da das Hotel vom Ort Cahuita recht weit entfernt ist und es selten Busverbindungen gibt. Die Zimmer verfügen über Klimaanlage und einen kleinen Kühlschrank. Praktisch war auch die Gemeinschaftsküche um sich am Abend eine Mahlzeit zubereiten zu können. Der Wasserdruck ist oft recht schwach, was das Duschen oder Haarewaschen erschweren kann. Es gibt einen Pool und in der Lobby Gesellschaftsspiele und einen Kickertisch. Das Frühstück war ein Highlight, jeden Tag gab es eine andere süße Beilage!

Me gustó mucho el desayuno, muy atentos la dueña y los encargados del hotel, pero es fundamental tener movilidad para estar en éste hotel, yo no me percaté de ese detalle y me resultó muy complicado, proveerme de comida y trasladarme hasta las playas. Igual gracias por la amabilidad!!

Hôtel mignon, bien entretenu MAIS Surfacturation de 30$ non expliquée et nous n'avons jamais reçu la facture promise! Eau filtrée payante, 500 crc pour remplir sa bouteille ...nous n'avons jamais vu ça en 6 semaines de voyage en Équateur et au Costa Rica !! La proximité de la route, très fréquentée, rend le jardin bruyant
