Travel into the foothills of Mount Champaqui and spend time at the Swiss-German town of La Cumbrecita. Here, bakeries, teahouses and pubs occupy alpine-style buildings. Hike trails to Cascada Grande waterfall, Lago de las Truchas lake and 5,627-feet (1,715-meter) high Cerro Wank. Zip-lining, natural trails and a treetop suspension bridge are some of the activities at Peñon Del Aguila adventure park.
German traditions and Bavarian-style architecture and cuisine characterize Villa General Belgrano. Visit in October for the annual Oktoberfest beer festival.
