When you've ticked off the fabulous places in Changchun City Center, there's heaps more to discover in the surrounding area. Collect the keys to a rental car, stow your luggage in the trunk and get out on the open road. Here are some road trips we think you'll love:

• You'll discover Changchun City Stadium and loads more interesting attractions in Changchun. From Changchun City Center, it's roughly 40 miles away.
• Roughly 80 miles away, Jilin is also a favorite with wanderers. Set aside time to take in Beidahu Ski Area while you're here. It's one of the reasons people love coming to this vibrant city.
• Make tracks to Changbai Shan Nature Reserve to discover some local nature. Pack a picnic to enjoy or just chill out in the fresh air. From Changchun City Center, it's approximately 190 miles away.

If you don't have a driver's license issued in China, then you might need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country in order to rent a car. It's also important to note that if you do need an IDP, it won't be valid on its own. You'll need to show your driver's license from your home country your passport and other forms of ID as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card you used to book the rental matches the name on your driver's license and passport. A few other things to note for international car rentals are:
