After you've checked out all of the terrific sights in Filothei, there's heaps more to discover in the region. Collect the keys to a rental car, toss your bags in the trunk and take to the open road. Here are some road trips we think you'll enjoy:

• You'll find Kalamata Beach and lots more interesting attractions in Kalamata. From Filothei, it's 110 miles away.
• Approximately 100 miles away, Lamia is also a hit with wanderers. Set aside time to experience Thermopylae Hot Springs while you're here. It's one of the reasons people love staying a while in this thriving city.
• Visit Red Beach for a day out in nature. Pack a picnic to enjoy or just sit and unwind. From Filothei, it's roughly 150 miles away.
