After you've covered all the great sights in Puerto Escondido, there's a lot more to see in the region. Pick up the keys to a rental car, toss your luggage in the trunk and get out there. We've pulled together some road trips we know you'll enjoy:

If you don't have a driver's license issued in Mexico, then you'll likely need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence to be allowed to rent a car. You should also be aware that if you do need an IDP, it has no validity on its own. You'll have to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of ID as well.
